In order to develop Bangladesh into a knowledge and information technology dependent upper middle income country, Digital Bangladesh Development (Vision 2021) Directorate of Information and Communication Technology through sustainable development, development of ICT infrastructure, support in establishment of e-governance, development of ICT industry and human Implementing resource development activities. For that purpose, all the officers and employees working in Thakurgaon district of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology are providing various types of information and technology-based services, advice and technical support to the people of all levels, including all government offices at the district, upazila and union levels. Information and Communication Technology Day 2017, Digital Bangladesh Day 2018, 2019, National Development Fair-2017, 2018, Digital Fair including various information and technology related events/meetings/seminars/workshops have been organized at district and upazila levels for the purpose of ICT expansion. More than 40 government offices in the district are running e-documents and more than 200 offices are connected to the national database. All the officials and employees of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology Thakurgaon are working to ensure the use and application of information and communication technology, coordination and sustainable development by providing various trainings and advices to the people's doorsteps electronically. 05 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs have been set up under this project in the financial year 2017-18. 1 more Sheikh Russell Digital Lab has been set up under this project in 2018-19 financial year. In order to increase professional skills, outsourcing training and e-document training to about 100 government officials and employees at the district and upazila levels and national information transmission training to about 400 people have been provided at the 'Sheikh Russell Digital Lab'. About 150 officers/employees have been trained through sessions on e-documents in each department's in-house training.
